How does the Brain perceive time?
I am a neuroscientist trying to figure out one of the most interesting problems in Science! Why? Because I believe time is everything. Time is a fundamental dimension of perception, memory and cognition: we take time to process things, we remember the past, experience the present and predict the future.
Our research is multidisciplinary, using a combination of Behavioural testing, Psychophysics, Bayesian modelling and Neuroimaging to try and get at such foundational principles of information processing. To understand time is to understand perception, memory, motor control and cognition... so if you are interested please check out the links above.
